UGREEN NASync DXP GT is the company’s new performance-focused NAS line, and it aims at people who want more than a basic file box. The pitch is a private cloud that can also handle media, backups, smart-home services and surveillance.

UGREEN announced the NASync DXP GT lineup on June 8, with two models at launch: the 4-bay DXP4800 GT and the 2-bay DXP2800 GT. The company places the series above its essential DH models and below its AI-focused iDX line.

Ryzen Power for Home Servers

Both systems use an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor. It has four cores, eight threads and a boost speed of up to 3.7GHz. That x86 chip gives the GT line enough headroom for multiple home services. It also helps the NAS feel less like a simple place to park files.

UGREEN says users can run Plex, Home Assistant, camera recording, Paperless and other services at the same time. The systems also support ECC memory when buyers add a separate ECC RAM module. That should appeal to users who care about data integrity during 24/7 operation.

10GbE and Flexible Storage

The DXP GT systems support up to two 10GbE ports. They also include fast USB connectivity for external storage or accessories. They also support SATA, U.2 and M.2 storage, although UGREEN notes that drives come separately.

The DXP4800 GT adds a built-in SD card slot. That gives photographers and video creators a direct ingest path for large files. That makes the system more relevant to the kind of creator workflow we track across new gadgets and hardware.

UGREEN also introduced a Surveillance Center app for the NASync platform. The app supports mainstream camera protocols. It covers camera access, storage, live viewing, playback and system management from one place.

Pricing starts at EUR509.99 / GBP459.99 for the DXP2800 GT, while the DXP4800 GT lists at EUR659.99 / GBP589.99. UGREEN says the launch includes a 10 percent discount through its official NAS store and Amazon UK. For home labs and creator desks, the GT line looks like UGREEN’s clearest push yet into serious always-on storage.
