OREO BTS Cookies are turning a snack launch into a global fan campaign. The limited-edition cookies pair BTS with a hotteok-inspired brown sugar pancake flavor. They also bring purple wafers and a digital love-letter project for fans.
In an APAC PRNewswire release, Mondelez International said RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook helped create the Limited Edition OREO & BTS Cookies. The collaboration is rolling out across more than 80 markets.
The flavor leans into Korean street food
The cookie flavor draws from hotteok. That is a warm Korean street-food pancake often filled with brown sugar. OREO describes the limited edition as a brown sugar pancake flavor, with purple cookies that nod to BTS fans.
The release frames the flavor as a personal one for BTS. The band said OREO was a snack they ate as kids and in the studio. They also said the collaboration lets them share a taste of home with fans around the world.
Thirteen embossments mark 13 years of BTS
The design also goes beyond a new wrapper. OREO says BTS designed 13 unique cookie embossments to mark the band’s 13th anniversary. Those designs include member names, a BTS light stick, and three cookies that form a message for fans.
The packaging carries the campaign into a digital layer. Fans can scan the QR code on the pack or visit OREOSEA.com to write a playful digital letter to BTS. OREO says submitted letters may appear as part of a larger real-world love-letter project.
Singapore gets a pop-up event
The limited-edition cookies begin rolling out at retailers on June 8, 2026, while supplies last. In Singapore, OREO will host a pop-up at FairPrice, VivoCity from June 22 to July 5.
Visitors at the pop-up can sample the hotteok flavor and submit a letter to BTS. Shoppers with qualifying purchases can also redeem OREO BTS stickers, plates, or an apron while stocks last.
This is less about a simple celebrity logo on a pack and more about a full fandom loop. OREO is selling the cookie, but the bigger play is the fan participation around it.
