Sony’s next PlayStation State of Play arrives on June 2, 2026. The broadcast runs for more than one hour. It currently streams at 5:00 PM ET on YouTube and Twitch.
Marvel’s Wolverine is the headline announcement. Insomniac Games is developing the title for PS5. It launches September 15, 2026, as a PS5 exclusive. Still, Sony is not bringing it to PC, continuing its push toward platform-exclusive single-player titles.
What to Watch For at the PlayStation State of Play
The Wolverine showing will include new gameplay footage. Specifically, Insomniac says it will demonstrate Logan’s combat mechanics alongside new story details. Additionally, the full broadcast is expected to cover multiple other PS5 titles beyond the headline game.
State of Play events typically feature a mix of first-party and third-party announcements. However, Sony has not listed additional games ahead of the broadcast. Whether any surprise reveals land will depend on the show itself.
How to Watch the June 2 Broadcast
The stream goes live on PlayStation’s YouTube channel and Twitch page. Japanese subtitles are also available on a separate YouTube stream. Co-streamers should note that Sony flagged potential issues with copyrighted music in the broadcast. Removing audio before archiving is recommended for creators.
PlayStation State of Play has become Sony’s main format for game reveals outside of major conventions. Since the format returned in 2019, it has hosted some of PlayStation’s most significant announcements. This June broadcast lands before the summer gaming convention season. Consequently, it could set the tone for PlayStation’s fall release schedule.
