Huawei MatePad Pro Max is now appearing on Huawei’s European store pages. It gives buyers outside China a fresh look at Huawei’s thinnest flagship tablet. Huawei centers the pitch on a 13.2-inch OLED PaperMatte display, a 4.7 mm body, and PC-style productivity.
The shape is the hook. Huawei lists the regular MatePad Pro Max at about 499 g. The PaperMatte Edition comes in around 509 g. The display has a 3000 x 2000 resolution, a claimed 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, 1600 nits peak brightness, and a 144 Hz refresh rate.

However, the spec sheet is only half the buying decision. The Huawei MatePad Pro Max runs HarmonyOS 4.3. It is not a normal Google-certified Android tablet. That means shoppers should check Google Play, YouTube, Gmail, Drive, and other must-have apps before buying.
Still, Huawei is aiming this tablet at work and creative users. The company highlights PC-level WPS Office, a Glide Keyboard, Huawei Notes, GoPaint, a 50 MP rear camera, a 12 MP front camera, six speakers, and wired reverse charging. Meanwhile, Huawei’s spec page also notes local charging differences. In the EU, the high-power charger is listed as sold separately.
Who should care
For artists and note-takers, the PaperMatte pitch is the most interesting part. It could help if you sketch, write, or work under bright indoor lights. The keyboard story also gives Huawei a clearer productivity angle than a tablet that only works as a couch screen.
