Star Wars Zero Company Release Date Is Set for August 27

EA locked in an August 27, 2026 launch for the turn-based tactics game from Bit Reactor, Respawn, and Lucasfilm Games.

The Star Wars Zero Company release date now has a firm spot on the calendar. EA says the single-player tactics game launches August 27, 2026 across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

That gives Star Wars fans a different kind of game to watch this summer. Zero Company is not another lightsaber action game or online shooter. It is a squad-based tactics story built around positioning, loadouts, and careful choices.

What EA is promising

EA describes the game as a gritty original Star Wars story about an elite squad. Bit Reactor leads development. Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games also back the project.

The campaign takes place during the Clone Wars era. Players command Hawks, a lead operative who can change combat specialty and appearance. The rest of the squad can also gain different looks, abilities, and gear.

That setup sounds closer to tactical strategy than the usual Star Wars power fantasy. The Steam page also calls it a single-player game, so EA is not pitching this as a live-service multiplayer spin-off.

Pre-orders and platforms

Pre-orders are already open through EA’s store links and platform storefronts, including Steam. EA says any pre-order includes the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack.

The Deluxe Edition adds more cosmetic items inspired by the Clone Wars era. That bonus is worth noting, but the bigger news is the firm date. August 27 now gives the new gameplay trailer a real launch target.

For strategy fans, the hook is simple. Star Wars finally gets a modern tactics game with named studios behind it, official platforms listed, and a release window close enough to start planning around.

The timing also keeps Star Wars active across games and entertainment. Tech My Money readers following that wider push can revisit our Fortnite Mandalorian and Grogu event coverage for another recent example.
