Acer Iconia Duo tablets are Acer’s latest attempt to make Android tablets feel more useful for actual work.
The company’s May 29 announcement introduces the Iconia Duo S14, Iconia Duo S12, and Iconia Duo D12. All three use a 3:2 aspect ratio, which gives documents, sketching, and web pages more vertical room than a typical video-first tablet.
The 3:2 Tablet Pitch

Iconia Duo S14 is the premium model. It has a 14.2-inch 2.8K OLED display, 120 Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chip, Android 16, two USB-C ports, and DisplayPort input and output.
Iconia Duo S12 keeps the 2.8K OLED idea in a 12.2-inch body with MediaTek Dimensity 7400. The more affordable Iconia Duo D12 uses a 12.2-inch 2400 x 1600 display and MediaTek Helio G99.
Acer also lists optional accessories across the tablet line, including an Active Stylus, magnetic kickstand, and keyboard. That makes the lineup feel closer to a small mobile studio than a plain media tablet.
Acer's Glasses Angle
The glasses are the twist. Acer AR Vision GR0 connects to a phone, laptop, or tablet and uses dual micro OLED FHD screens to simulate a large private display. It supports Android, iOS, and Windows.
Acer GI0 goes in another direction. It is a 46 g pair of AI glasses with a 12 MP camera, three microphones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Google Gemini-powered assistant through Acer AspireSync.
North American pricing starts at $699 for Iconia Duo S14, $549 for Duo S12, and $399 for Duo D12. The AR Vision GR0 starts at $499.99, while GI0 starts at $299.99. So, Acer is not only chasing iPad alternatives. It is also testing whether glasses can become the next travel companion.
The tablet specs are promising, but app behavior will matter. Android productivity still depends on split-screen support, stylus latency, and keyboard shortcuts.
The glasses are more experimental. Still, they make sense beside tablets because both products chase the same mobile-work problem.
Also, the prices put the tablets in a serious accessory conversation. However, the software experience will decide whether that value holds.
Therefore, the best model may depend more on workflow than screen size.
