In recent times, one doesn’t get surprised to see Snoop Dogg associated with different genres of music (Snoop Dogg singing country music on Letterman) or product. We’ve seen him transition from a lion persona back to a dog again, in the geek world I’ll dub him “Snoop the shapeshifter”. Snoop Dogg’s recent video “California Roll” (which has nothing to do with sushi) is set in a Los Angeles movie theater in 1946, and then takes us into a peculiar futuristic LA with flying cars, robots, pyramids, Stevie Wonder and Pharrell. Pharrell is all dressed in some Egyptian type robe while Stevie Wonder plays the harmonica. The video has the usual Snoop Dogg signature smoke scenes and some quite blatant product placement.
