You Can Now Take Notes With Google Keep And Android Wear

After seeing what the Apple Watch can do, I don’t blame Google for trying to add more functionality to their Android Wear platform. In a recent post on the official Google Android Blog, some new features have made their way to Keep cloud-based note taking app. Android devices running Ice Cream Sandwich and newer will allow the users to access the Google’s Keep Note app from their smartwatch while leaving the phone in their pocket. You can start the app from the app list or just say “OK Google, open Keep” or take a new note by saying “OK Google, take a note.” The new update also lets the user add new reminders to notes and allows the Keep app to support recurring reminders too.

The swipe up and down through notes features, tap to view a particular note, or just tap the plus sign and speak to create a new note are still supported. Google also note in the blog post that they “launched the ability to add labels to notes in the Keep Android app and on the web to help you stay organized. Use labels like “Inspiration” and “To-dos” to never miss an idea or task.”
