Acer Chromebase

It looks like Google is taking another shot at Apple’s Mac Pro with the release of another Chromebase all-in-one, but this time it’s made by Acer. The Acer Chromebase was recently unveiled with a 21.5-inch touchscreen 1080p display. It’s also running on NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 powerful chip, which should be quick and responsive enough for your daily needs. The Acer Chromebase also has a built-in HD webcam, for those Hangouts video chats. It has two 3W audio speakers and provides HDMI out, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 ports in addition to 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connectivity. You can even add a VESA-compatible stand, bracket, arm, or wall mount for the Acer Chromebase that’s suitable for better navigational use in public areas. And if that wasn’t enough for you, Google is throwing in a complimentary 100 GB of Google Drive storage on top of everything. Sounds like a great deal.

The Acer Chromebase will ship to Asia and North America in the second quarter of the year. There is no word yet on pricing.
